Grundfos Unilift gets a facelift
As part of a campaign to improve the handling and shelf-presence of boxed pump products, Grundfos is introducing new high visibility, high strength packaging for its Unilift pump range, starting with the Unilift KP in mid-December this year.
The new box, which uses flexographic printing techniques for improved colour and text reproduction, is manufactured from a more robust material to reduce the possibility of damage during transport and handling, and is more dimensionally stable for improved stability in the stack. The extra strength has enabled the lower wooden layer to be removed, further improving handleability.
The design of the packaging has been updated in line the Grundfos corporate style and includes images of the different pump variants to help users select the appropriate pump for their application – on the Unilift KP, for instance, this means that images of variants with and without float switches, to the front and top of the box.
Features and benefits are clearly displayed by way of icons on the front of the packaging, along with explanatory text to help selection at the point of display, whilst dimensions and quick sizing details appear on the rear.
Additional teaser images to the front show how the pump might be used in different tank and pit solutions, giving the engineer or end user illustrative guidance on typical product applications.
The new Unilift KP boxes will continue to be palletized in units of 60, as per the existing packaging, and are expected to start appearing in stockist showrooms early in the new year.
Other Unilift models will be updated with the new packaging design and specification during 2018, presenting a new, modern and consistent image across this popular pump range.
